1. When was the first Test match played : The first Test match was played between England and Australia in Melbourne in 1877 . England lost the match by 45 runs.

2. England’s biggest win in Test cricket is in the name of Australia, they defeated Australia in 1930 by an innings and 579 runs.

3. Adam Gilchrist ‘s record for most consecutive Test matches after making his debut is ‘ Adam Gilchrist ‘, he played 96 matches in a row from 1999 to 2008 and the record for most consecutive Test matches is named ‘ Alan Border ‘, 153 Match continuously.

4. ‘ Chris Martin ‘ and ‘ B. s. Chandrasekhar ‘is two such players who have taken more wickets than runs in their Test career. (Martin scored 233 wickets for 123 runs and Chandrasekhar took 242 wickets for 167 runs).

5. Test cricket’s first century (165 runs) was scored in 1877 by Australian player Charles Bannerman before retiring hurt against England and England’s player ‘ NFD Thomson ‘ took the first wicket of Test cricket in this match.

6. The player who has the highest number of outs in a Test match is not ‘Rahul Dravid’ but ‘ Courtney Walsh ‘. They were unbeaten in 61 out of 185 innings.

7. Chris Gayle is the only batsman to hit a six off the first ball of the first Test match.

8. There have been 8 players in history who have batted for five days in a Test match. Two of these are from India: ML Jaisimha & Ravi Shastri .

9. Saif Ali Khan’s grandfather, Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi is the only cricketer who played Test cricket for both India and England.

10. England’s ‘ Wilfred Rhodes ‘ is the oldest Test player, he retired at the age of 52.

11. So far in history, this has also happened twice when all four innings of a Test match have been played in a single day. (In 1989 & 2000).

12. ‘ Peter Siddle ‘ is the only player who has taken a hat-trick on his birthday. (In the 2010 Brisbane Test).

13. For India, 2 players named ‘ Robin Singh ‘ played Test cricket but both played only the opening matches, after which they never got a place in the team.

14. West Indies player, ‘ Leslie Hylton ‘ is the only cricketer who was hanged in a crime.

15. Pakistani bowler ‘ Wasim Akram ‘ has the highest score in the Test than Sachin Tendulkar. (wasim 257, sachin 248 *).

16. The great cricketer ‘ Sir Don Bradman ‘ was able to hit only six sixes throughout his career.

17. Indian player ‘ Prabir Sen ‘ was the only wicketkeeper to stump out Don Bradman.

18. Mohammad Azharuddin is the only player to score a century in the first three Tests of his career.

19. The first out was given to Sachin Tendulkar by 3rd Umpire .

20. Brian Lara named his girl Sydney after making 277 runs in Sydney Test cricket.

21. Cricket rules : The oldest rule in the cricket world that has not been changed yet is the length of the pitch.

22. Fastest century in Test cricket: The record for hitting the fastest century in Test cricket is in the name of ‘ Brendon McCullum ‘, 100 runs in 54 balls. And the record for hitting the fastest half-century is in the name of Misbah-ul-Haq , 50 runs in 21 balls.

23. The record for scoring the most runs in an innings of a Test match is in the name of Brian Lara (400 *).
