Union Minister warns states, No cure for bird flu

Bird flu cases are increasing in the country and it has spread in many states. Meanwhile, Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries Minister Sanjeev Balian said that there is no cure for bird flu, so all state governments have to be careful. Also Sanjeev Balian also said that bird flu can spread from birds to humans as well, but no such case has come to light yet. Union Minister Sanjeev Balian said that at present, bird flu cases have been reported in 5 states Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.

After the Corona epidemic, the risk of bird plume in the country is increasing continuously. Cases of bird deaths are being reported continuously in many states including Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala. Meanwhile, the central government has set up a control room to receive and update updates from all states. Besides, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also called a meeting of all the concerned departments after the outbreak of bird flu today. The trade of chicken from the states of South India has been banned for some time in the state. Significantly, warnings have been issued in several states of the country about H5N8 strain outbreak of bird flu and samples of thousands of dead birds have been sent for examination.

Vigilance is being maintained in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala after confirmation of bird flu. Significantly, 155 crows have died in Indore in Madhya Pradesh since the bird flu was confirmed a week ago, along with birds have been found infected in Sathath Kota and Baran in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district. However, no case has been registered so far in Maharashtra, which shares a border with Madhya Pradesh. But in Maharashtra too, all departments have been alerted.

Over 4 lakh chickens killed in Haryana

Around 1,700 ducklings died due to flu in Kerala. Also, over 4 lakh chickens have died in Panchkula district of Haryana in the last 10 days. Haryana’s Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy has said whether avian influenza is the cause of death of these birds or not? According to an official spokesperson, samples of these have been sent to the Regional Disease DiagnosticLabratory in Jalandhar. The report is still awaited.

In view of the threat of the bird, thousands of chickens and ducks have started killing in Kerala. The southern Indian states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have also increased surveillance in their areas. Alappuzha operations have been started within a kilometer of the affected areas at Alappuzha and Kottayam in Kerala. The results of the samples were confirmed at the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases in Bhopal in these two districts of Kerala.

2700 migratory birds killed in Himachal

Here Himachal dead migratory birds were found infected with bird flu. So far 2,700 migratory birds have been found dead in this lake area in the state and their samples have been sent for testing. The area around Pong Dam Lake Sanctuary in Kangra district of Himachal has been surveyed by the authorities to check the spread of flu in domestic birds there.
